As a holistic esthetician, health coach, boutique spa owner, and mom of twin tween girls, I know firsthand the importance of self-care rituals that can transform the mind and body. In our fast-paced lives, it's easy to neglect our own needs in place of productivity and success. That's why I'm such a strong advocate for incorporating self-care rituals into your daily routine. There are a few key self-care practices I recommend:
A mindful morning
Wake up early, make a cup of coffee or tea, in the winter, I even make a fire, and do 20 minutes of breathwork and meditation.
A smoothie-a-day
Starting each morning by drinking a smoothie packed with vitamins, antioxidants, and essential nutrients guarantees we are healthily starting our day, keeping us energized, focused, and feeling great.
An evening skincare ritual
This isn't just about applying products - it's about creating space for yourself to slow down, be mindful, and wind down after your day. Begin with a soothing cleanse, followed by a resurfacing exfoliant a few times per week. Then, quench your skin with a restorative mask, a calming botanical serum, and a rich moisturizer. You can even take this ritual a step further by incorporating relaxing elements like candles, aromatherapy, steamed compresses, soothing music, and a facial massage.
Morning skincare ritual
For my dry-skinned guests, I recommend a gentle cream cleanser, and a hydrating hyaluronic acid mist, serum, and moisturizer infused with nourishing ingredients like vitamins A, C, and E. This simple ritual not only replenishes the skin, but also allows you to pause, breathe, and feel at ease before bed or mentally prepare for the day ahead if you incorporate this ritual into your morning routine.
Monthly facials
Our health and wellness-focused facials may be the ritual you look forward to the most. They are designed to deeply relax, restore, and rejuvenate the mind and body.
